Ethel Johnson Hudson, 86, of Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday, June 8, 2006, in Memphis. She was born to J.W. and Ophelia Guthrie Johnson of Leachville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Judd Hudson; sisters, Opal Keith, Thelma Smith, Vada Johnson; and nephew Gaylon Smith.

She is survived by a son, James Hudson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister and brother-in-law, Eithel and O. Wayne Lewis of Blytheville; two nieces, Leah McCord of Richardson, Texas, and Patty Garrett of Blytheville.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Leachville Cemetery in Leachville. No visitation was held.

Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of arrangements.
