She was a member of Fisher Street-Highland Drive Baptist Church and ASU Faculty Wives Club.
Survivors include her children, Franklin and Jo Ann Matthews of McAlpin, Fla.; Woody and Junie Matthews of Columbus, Miss.; and Sue and Joe Moore of Georgetown, Texas; a sister, Pearl Williams of Lake City; a brother, Bearl Brooks of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Franklin Matthews, Lee Ann Mayhall, Frederick Matthews, Marcy Moore Johnson, Dwight Moore, Deena Matthews McIntyre, Libby Matthews, and Andrew Matthews; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette at 2 p.m. Thursday. A service was held at 3 p.m. at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service and interment was held at Hope Cemetery in Imboden at 11 a.m. Friday.
