The family owned business stocks fishing supplies, feed for all animals, general hardware supplies, plumbing supplies, garden and yard products, fertilize and much more.
"This is something we have thought about for a while," Donnie said. "We are looking forward to working with and serving people in the area. Eventually we plan to sell dressed catfish by the pound.
D&K (D&J) was formerly owned by Sharon and Dorothy Carpenter who retired.
Hours of the new business will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Donnie said the store is equipped with debit and credit card services. The telephone number has remained the same, (870) 561-4611.
"We will do our best to keep in stock what our customers want," Kent said.
A ribbon cutting was held on Thursday with family members, former owners, and the Wagner family.
"We are proud to have Donnie and Kent join the businesses of Manila," Mayor Clifford Veach said.
