Eugene Dudley "Ed" Leach - Jonesboro

Eugene Dudley "Ed" Leach, 85, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Manila Nursing Center. He had lived in the Jonesboro area most of his life. He was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church in Manila. He was self-employed as a small engine repairman, and he attended the Arkansas School for the Blind.

He is survived by a son, John W. Leach of Lexington, Okla.; two brothers, Willard Morgan of Arnold, Mo., and Harold Morgan, Sr., of Cuba, Mo.; two sisters, Ola Brazil of Little Rock and Betty Scott of Manila; two special cousins, Maxine Bates and Bernice Rice, and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Leach; his parents, Beulah Leach and Victoria Leach Morgan; stepfather, Connie Morgan, and a sister, Clara Rule.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Magnolia Chapel at Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Fowler officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Wright, Jim Mills, Thomas Jaco, Ken Thompson, Clarence Shockley, and George Bates.
