Marvin T. Ballard, 63, of Trumann died Friday, March 31, 2006, at Jonesboro. Formerly of Monette, he had lived in Trumann for 34 years. He was born June 5, 1942, in Caraway and lived most of his life in Caraway and Monette. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was a member of the Monette High School Class of 1960.
Mr. Ballard is survived by two sons, Phillip Ballard and Mitchell Ballard, both of Houston; two daughters, Melissa Ballard Watts of Houston and Misty Ballard Pruitt of Trumann; three brothers, Herbert Ballard of Trumann, Gene Ballard of East Peoria, Ill., and Donald Ballard of Leachville; two sisters, Shirley McNamara and Loudean Key, both of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Brooks Ballard; parents, Harvey and Winnie Ballard; four brothers, Hubert Ballard, Harvey Ballard Jr., Gerald Ballard and Larry Ballard.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Monette Cemetery. Gregg Funeral Home of Monette is in charge of arrangements.
