Matha Wayne Bogard, 45, of Piggott, formerly of Manila, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Murphy Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Piggott. He was the son of the late Lloyd Bogard and had been a long-time Manila area resident before making his home in Piggott in 2004. He was a self employed mill wright.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Oran "Buddy" Johnson.
Survivors include a son, Matha Bogard, Jr. of Little Rock; two daughters, Keshia Whitaker of Larence, Mich., and Adria Bogard of North Little Rock; his mother, Lucille McCain Johnson of Manila; four brothers, Robert Bogard, Oran Johnson, and Timothy Johnson, all of Manila, and Joseph Johnson of Marmaduke; three sisters, Mildred Ingram of Goliad, Texas, Patricia Johnson of Paragould and Barbara Baker of Rector; and a grandson.
Services were 1 p.m. Friday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with burial in Manila Cemetery.
