Lavelle "Buzz" Bolin, 65, of Manila, died Saturday, March 4, 2006. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Dora Bell Bennett Bolin and was a lifelong area resident. He was a self-employed brick mason and was a 1958 graduate of Childress High School. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Merle Haggard style songs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Buzz Wayne Bolin, two half-brothers and a half sister.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Bolin of Paragould and Bradley Bolin of Mill Creek, Wash.; two daughters, Tena Mitchell and Dee Long, both of Paragould; a sister, Narline Tabor of Paragould; two half-sisters, Edith Green of Pine Bluff and Glenna Powell of Conway; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and long time friend, Camille Ramsey of Manila.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville.
