Eula Mae Ward - Leachville

Eula Mae Ward, 85, of Leachville, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Cardwell, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Leonard McClearn and Myrtle Potter McClearn and had lived most of her life in the Leachville area. She was the widow of Grason Ward and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Norman Ward of Jefferson, City, Mo., and Gaylon Ward, of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brent Ward of Jefferson City, Mo., Chad Gaylon Ward of New Mexico, Arthur Grason Ward of Texas, and Michelle Ward of Atlanta, Ga.; four sisters, Mary Cude of Leachville, Brenda Holt of Leachville, Mae Cupp of Paragould, and Florence "Billie" Rowland of Paragould; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Jerry Kausler officiating. Interment was private.

Pallbearers were Chad Ward, Brent Ward, Arthur Ward, Cole Hawkins, Steve Holt, and David Holt. Honorary pallbearers were John Ward, Randy Ladd, Sonny Ladd, Snowden Hawkins, R.D. Jackson, J.W. Carder, and Michael Holt.
