Todd Lavell Pruitt, 40, of Monette, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Jonesboro, he lived his lifetime in Monette. He was a receiving clerk at Colson Caster Company in Monette and was of the Assembly of God belief. He was an avid Cardinal and Razorback fan and golf player.
Survivors include his mother, Lou Pruitt, of Monette; father and step-mother, Lavell and Anna Pruitt of Paragould; sisters, Tammy Pruitt and finance, Jason Tompkins, both of Monette; Debby Pruitt of Paragould; and Jackie Hamilton and husband, Jack, of Paragould; step-brother, Wayne Herren and wife, Kym, of Sherwood; nephews, Heath Grisham, Blake Grisham, Nathan Hamilton, Will Herren, and Adam Tompkins; niece, Natalie Herren; great-niece, Kia Grisham; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pitts; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Pruitt; and uncles, Morris Pruitt, Ralph Pitts, Bobby Joe Pitts; Udell Pitts and Ervin Cupp.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Macey Cemetery in Monette with Rev. Arthur Phelps officiating.
Pallbearers were Joe Brinkley, Steve Holland, Kevin Pruitt, Bobby Pitts, Barry Pruitt and Brian Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers were Blake Grisham, Heath Grisham, Nathan Hamilton and Robert Mack Pitts.
