The annual Buffalo Island EMS Auction will be held Saturday at the Buffalo Island Central elementary cafeteria in Monette beginning at 10 a.m. All proceeds from the auction will go to the ambulance service.
The Buffalo Island EMS ambulance service, based in Monette, serves the entire area and has been a long time asset to the communities. It is a nonprofit ambulance service. The number to call is 486-5452.
Items to be auctioned will include crafts, chemicals, pies, cake, quilts, John Deere and Case toys, yard ornaments, duck prints and much more.
Barbecue sandwiches, drinks and desserts will be sold during the auction.
"We urge everyone to come out and support our ambulance service and fellowship with our friends and neighbors," Moba Lee Miller said.
Miller said a handmade afghan was donated in memory of Tom Middleton by the Middleton family.
Tickets will be sold for a RCA 20" color television, flat screen with DVD/VCR combo, and a 3-1/2 inch Remington 870-12 gauge shot gun. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. These items will be given away following the auction.
Any donated items will be picked up by calling 486-2856.
"Our fund raiser has been very successful for many years through the donations of items to be auctioned and the generosity of area residents who attend," Miller said.
