Marisa Johnson scored 20 points and Sam Dunigan added 13 more as Riverside got past Rector 46-35 in senior girls action Monday night at Caraway.
Riverside used a 17-2 second quarter advantage to blow open a close game in picking up their eighth conference win of the season against three losses. The Lady Rebels held a slim 11-10 first quarter advantage before pulling away to take 28-12 lead at the half. Riverside carried a 33-17 advantage into the fourth period.
Natasha Coffey scored seven points, Kasey Davis had five, while Emilee Hook added one to round out the Rebel attack. Riverside finished 17-28 from the line and had one three pointer.
Rector was led by Lauren Faulkner who scored nine points while Skye Shepard added eight. Rector was 8-13 from the free throw line and nailed three treys.
In junior high action, Riverside rolled to a 46-24 victory as Katey Campbell paced the Lady Rebels with 15 points. Briana Driver also had double figures for Riverside with 11 points. Kailey Holt netted five, Morgan Emery scored four, Katlin Brewer, Michelle Cobb, Holly Dudley, and Anne Marie Johnson all tallied two points apiece while Magan Wells and Kyley Campbell added one point each.
Hillary Calhoun led Rector with 14 points.
Riverside also captured the seventh grade game 27-15. Kyley Campbell led Riverside with 10 points while Taylor Boness added eight. Magan Wells scored three while Brittany Douglas, Beth Anne Snyder and Ashley Calvert added two points apiece.
