Natasha Coffey poured in 25 points to help Riverside pull out a thrilling 66-62 overtime win at Rector Monday night.
The two teams battled to a 57-57 tie through four quarters before the Lady Rebels outscored Rector 9-5 in the overtime period to claim the 3AA North Conference victory.
Riverside led 14-10 after the first quarter and held a 30-27 advantage at intermission. Rector rallied in the third quarter to take a 43-42 lead entering the final frame.
Sam Dunigan pitched in 16 points while Marisa Johnson added 10 more to give the Lady Rebels three players in double figures. Emilee Hook and Kelsey Turner had six points apiece, Kasey Davis netted two and Kassie Douglas added one point to round out the Rebel attack. Riverside finished 19-36 from the free throw line and hit three treys on the night.
Tara Shepard led Rector with a game high 26 points, including six three pointers. Lauren Faulkner scored 13 points while Jordan Cornelison added 10. Rector finished 7-17 from the foul stripe and hit 11 treys on the night.
In junior high action, Riverside drilled the Lady Cougars 54-27. Kailey Holt and Katey Campbell paced the Lady Rebels with 10 points each. Briana Driver scored eight, Holly Dudley added five, Morgan Emery, Katlin Brewer and Christy Ward scored four points each, while Michelle Cobb, Anne Marie Johnson, Daisey Pollard and Taylor Boness added two points apiece.
Hillary Calhoun paced the Lady Cougars with 15 points.
Riverside held a 16-7 first quarter lead and increased their advantage to 34-16 at the half. The Lady Rebels carried a 45-24 lead into the final quarter.
