Wilma J. Hamilton Sims - Manila

Wilma J. Hamilton Sims, 79, of Manila, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born February 20, 1926, in Lafferty Creek, she was the daughter of E.P. and Myrtle Hightower Hamilton. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and cutting hair. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Sims, a son, Billy W. Sims, and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Sims.

Mrs. Sims leaves her children, Willie and Betty Sims, and Linda and Jim Carr, all of Blytheville; and Shirley Travis and Phyllis Sims, both of Sallisaw, Okla.; a brother, Pete Hamilton of Cushman; a sister, Lorene Fullbright, also of Cushman; a daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Sims of Blytheville; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Billy Holifield officiating. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@arkansas.net.
