Milton Alexander Honnoll, 88, of Leachville, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. A lifelong Leachville resident, he was the son of the late James Edward and Luner Agnes Higginbottom Honnoll and the widower of Eura Williams Honnoll. He was a retired street superintendent for the city of Leachville and a longtime member of the Leachville Church of Christ. Mr. Honnoll was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Honnoll, of Leachville; two daughters, Rita Grant of Leachville and Marsha Ladd of Lake City; three sisters, Wanda Lee Phenix of Thayer, Mo., Glendene Barnett of Monette, and Venita Galaphin of Georgia; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Tim Bassing and David Lawrence officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
