Riverside Rolls Over Piggott, 53-26

Riverside placed three players in double figures en route to a 53-26 win over Piggott Tuesday night at Caraway in 3AA North Conference action.

Tyler Timms and Garrett Weaver paced the Rebels with 13 points each while Jordan Adcock pitched in 12 as the Rebels evened their conference mark at 2-2. Riverside held a slim 15-14 first period advantage before stretching their lead to 22-16 at the half. Riverside exploded in the third quarter, outscoring the Mohawks 28-4 to grab a 50-20 lead heading into the final frame.

The Rebels smoked Piggott in the third period, hitting all six of their three point attempts while finishing 9-10 from the field.

Glen Graham scored seven points, Cody Richardson netted three, while Michael Lawrence and Travis Mays added two points each. Timms hit three treys, dished out seven assists and had four steals. Weaver also hit three treys and dished out five assists. Adcock joined his teammates with three treys on the night. Riverside finished the night 10-18 from the three point stripe and 5-10 from the free throw line.

Piggott (6-5, 3-3) was led by Lance Conley who scored 10 points. The Mohawks made 4-10 free throws and hit two treys.

In junior high action, Piggott rolled to a 46-17 victory as three Mohawks scored in double digits. Justin Howell scored 14 points, Wesley Wood had 12 while Rob Rice finished with 11.

Riverside was led by Brastain James with seven points. Tyler Warhurst netted five, Daniel McCormick and Shaun Boatman scored two points each while Josh Driver added one.

Riverside took the seventh grade game, 35-21, as the Rebels outscored Piggott 20-4 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win. Jake Love led Riverside with 17 points. Chris Hood scored eight points, Tyler Rolland tallied four, while Josh Anderson and Jake Emery added three points apiece.

Colby Lovelace paced Piggott with nine points.
