Elsie Snyder - Jonesboro

Elsie Maudell Snyder, 86, of Jonesboro, formerly of Manila died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in the Lester Community she had been a lifelong Manila area resident before making her home in Jonesboro three years ago. She was the widow of Norman Earl "Pot" Snyder, a retired seamstress for the Osceola Shoe Factory and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Snyder; a daughter, Norma Frith, both of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Shan Mosbey, Jaime Perkins and Ray Snyder, all of Jonesboro; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister and a granddaughter, Vicki Morgan.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time. No visitation has been planned and the family has requested any memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 810, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9087.
