Junior Lions down EPC 48-29

Manila Junior Lions defeated East Poinsett County 48-29 Thursday at Manila in the only Manila boys' action of the week. The win gave them a 5-3 record for the year.

Jonathan Rose led the Lions with 19 points followed by Frankie Cowgill 9, Luke McLaughlin 5, Michael Shedd 5, Kyle Evans and Blake Wheeler 4 each and Kenny Rowan 2. Shedd pulled down 10 rebounds for the game.

Manila was down at the end of the first quarter 6-8 but took an 18-15 halftime lead stretching it to 36-24 going into the final quarter.

The junior "B" Team took a 34-19 victory over EPC.
