Sarah Frances Lloyd Singleton, a resident of Greene Acres Nursing Home, formerly of Cardwell, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was born Nov. 20, 1916, in Newton County, Ga., and would have been 89 this month. She attended the Church of Christ in Cardwell.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Pat Singleton of Paragould and David and JoAnn Singleton of Bloomfield, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi and Edward Walls of Arbyrd; a brother, Chestene Loyd of Paragould; two sisters, Nell Vincent and Ruth Beggs, both of Michigan; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Borden D. Singleton; her parents, Howard and Susie Lloyd; two sisters; and two brothers.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Harrison and Herbert Star officiating. Burial was in Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chuck Walls, Kevin Singleton, Lanz Loyd, Jason Higgins, Joe Dan Loftin and Jim Skaggs.

Honorary pallbearers were Ritchard Zolman, Chuckie Walls, Mitchell Skaggs, Daniel Loftin, Wayne McLemore and Michael Singleton
