Eddie Esters - Jonesboro

Eddie Esters, 58, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005. Born in Jonesboro, he worked 28 years for General Electric before retiring. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Esters of the home; a son, Robert Esters, Navy, of Mayport, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Currie of Lake City; four sisters, Ida Hobbs of Jonesboro, Jessie Winners of Memphis, Ruby Wilbert of Little Rock and Bobbie Anderson of West Memphis; two brothers, Elijah Anderson and Raymond Anderson, both of Blytheville; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Anderson; and a sister, Margaret Keeley.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Carter's Temple CME Church with Rev. David Avant officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Woodard Funeral Service.
