Opal Bugg, 91, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Manila, widow of Rev. George Bugg, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at University Hospital in Columbia. Born in Manila she was the daughter of the late L.S. and Anna Milligan and had been a long-time Manila resident before making her home in Columbia in 1999. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of Westside Baptist Church in Manila.

Survivors include a son, George Bugg, Jr., of Columbia, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Rice of Columbia, Mo., Sue Crawford of Orlando, Fla., Dana Rich of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Watson and Roberta Smith; a brother, two sisters, two grandsons and a granddaughter.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Stanfield Cemetery near Clarkton, Mo., with Rev. Jerry Patterson officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. There was no visitation.
