Leamon Jesse Dewitt, 92, of Black Oak, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Wideman, he was the son of the late Franklin and Elvie Skidmore Dewitt. He had been a Black Oak resident since 1942 and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Monette Cemetery with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
