Maxine Huddleston, 71, of Leachville, widow of Jewel Huddleston, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was the daughter of the late Charley and Mary Rouse Smith and was a lifelong Leachville resident. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church and was retired from Brown Shoe Company in Leachville.

She is survived by two sons, David Huddleston and Randy Huddleston, both of Leachville; a brother, Charles Ray Smith, of Leachville; a sister, Ruby Stone, of Manila; and three grandchildren, Wendy Morgan, Brandy Huddleston and David Huddleston, II.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Forrest Wayne Huddleston; two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Freddy Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Leachville Cemetery.
