Thomas Richard Meacham, 72, of Manila died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Cave City, he was the son of the late Charles and Rossie Belle Rodgers Meacham and was a lifelong Manila resident. He was a retired carpenter, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and member of the First Baptist Church of Manila.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Walker; four brothers, Mark Meacham, Bud Meacham, Robert Meacham and Billy Meacham, and two sisters, Maudine Vermillion and Charlesteen Crabtree.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Tyler Meacham of the home; a son, Danny Alexander of Brookland; two daughters, Patsy Douglas and Linda Alexander, both of Manila; four sisters, Lawana Miles of Las Vegas, Nev., Rhodell Bunch of Manila, Laura Hutton of Kennett and Patsy Ann Fyles of Batesville; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service chapel in Manila, Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
