Pauline Sylvia "Polly" Rassette - Paragould

Pauline Sylvia "Polly" Rassette, 92, of Paragould, formerly of Manila, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Tennessee. She was a retired butcher for Jolliff Grocery in Manila.

Survivors include a daughter, Madlyn Evans Cates of Pocahontas; a brother, Floyd Rassette of Paragould; nieces and nephews, Magtha Slayton, Aletrice Hughes, Sylvia Eubanks, Kaydon Stuart, Fred Stuart, and Joe Stuart, all of Paragould.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Sarah Rassette, and three sisters, Geraldine Stuart, Vivian Ceary and Ruth Monroe.

A graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Wood's Chapel Cemetery with Darrell Douglas officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
