John Nell Cullum, 74, of Lake City died Sept. 6, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a shoe maker and of the Methodist belief. She was born in Piggott Feb. 7, 1931, and had lived in Lake City for five years. She was formerly of Phoenix, Ariz.
She is survived by a sister, Maye Ann Hatch, of Hot Springs; a brother, Richard Thrasher, of Chula-Vista, Calif.; two sons, Douglas Cullum of Harrisburg and John Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Judith Holt of Lake City, J-Uan Giadone of Pueblo, Colo., and Janila Yaw, of West Memphis; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lora Thrasher; her husband, W.J. Cullum; a brother, Bruce Thrasher; and a sister, Lora Wagster.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott with Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
