Winfred E. League, 77, of Shawnee, Okla., died Aug. 21, 2005. The son of Frank and Molly League, he grew up in the Monette and Childress area.

He is survived by his wife, Eula; four sons, Mark, Scott, Ricky and Terry; two sisters, Naomi League of Hardy and Bettye Whitehead of Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Corine Harrell of Hardy and Amy Pratt of Paragould.
