Jimmy Donald Grimes, 61, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He worked for Lincoln Manufacturing Company for 31 years and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Short Grimes; his mother, Lavada Grimes of Lake City; two daughters, Tammy Fletcher and Shelley Turner, both of Lake City; two sisters, Annetta Ray of Mississippi and Pam Womack of Lake City; a brother, Ken Grimes of Lake City; and four grandchildren, Cody Fletcher, Kasey Fletcher, Dillon Turner and Evan Turner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Limuel Grimes.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pine Log Cemetery with Larry Owens officiating.
Active pallbearers were his nephews, Eric Grimes, Chris Grimes, Chad Grimes, Greg Womack, Jeff Womack and Dean Ray.
