Annie Katherine Vanoven Lucas, 66, of Hickory Flat died Aug. 16, 2005. She was born April 9, 1930, at Ava, Mo., to Thurman A. and Marie VanWinkle Boatman. She was a homemaker and member of Olive Branch Country Church of Hickory Flat.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton S. Lucas of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Shelby Vanoven of Hickory Flat, Clay and Mae Vanoven of Rosebud, Marvin and Mary Vanoven of Bradford; two step-sons, Ken Lucas of West Memphis, Nathan Lucas of Bono; one step-daughter, Susie Martin of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Lisa Vanoven of McRae, James Vanoven III of Hickory Flat, Kassy Whitener of Pleasant Plains, Clayton and Ashley Vanoven or Rosebud; 13 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; six brothers, O'Dell Boatman of Smith Grove, Ky., Ardel Boatman of Lake City, Charlie Boatman of Manila, Gene and Lonnie Boatman, both of Caraway, Larry Boatman of Bradford; four sisters, Marie Bressie of Bald Knob, Clorine and Ludene Constant, both of Lepanto, Irene Ashley of Melbourne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Boatman.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with Brother John VanWinkle and Brother Jesse McKee officiating. Burial was at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tommy Atkinson, Robert Covington, Tim Reaper, Kevin Smith, Lee Tarwater and Tilton Vanoven.
