Jimmy Carl Goforth - Osceola

Jimmy Carl Goforth, 59, of Osceola, died August 18, 2005, at SMC Regional Medical Center in Osceola. He was born Oct. 17, 1945, at Osceola. He was a farm worker, welder, and affiliated with the Church of God. He was a lifetime resident of Mississippi County.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Goforth of Osceola; four daughters, Angela Brighter of Conway, Tammoria Denton of Leachville, Crystal Earnest of Osceola, Christine Benham of Manila; a stepdaughter, April L. Love of Osceola; four sons, Jimmy Goforth of Conway, Timothy Goforth of Leachville, Richard Goforth of Trumann, and Adam Goforth of Lake City; a stepson, Gary D. Manley of Osceola; a sister, Mattie Floyd of Jonesboro; three brothers, Billy Goforth of Victoria, Lonnie Goforth of Jonesboro, and William Goforth of Pocahontas; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Goforth and Dorinda Johnson Goforth; two sisters, Effie Sides and Genevia May Floyd; and two brothers, Charles Sides and Eugene Goforth.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Brother Raymond Britt and Pastor Bobby Floyd officiating. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.
