Shirley Roush - Jonesboro

Shirley Roush, 79, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at her residence.

Born in Brookland, she lived in Jonesboro most of her life and was retired from George W. Jackson Mental Health Center as a dietitian. She was a charter member of Wood's Chapel General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Roush and Barry Roush, both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Murline Kelley of Jonesboro and Louise Weaver of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sisters, Lorene Mink of Brookland and Lucy Holden of Lake City; a brother, Wesley Gatlin of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Roush, a sister and two brothers.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Joey Rupert officiating. Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.

Pallbearers will be Russell Kelley, Randy Blancett, Delbert Hathcoat, Frank Travis, Jerry Mink and Ricky Hathcoat.
