Ruby Velma Stutts, 85, of Manila, widow of Hubert Stutts, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born in the Twist Community, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Addie Kent Williams and had lived in Manila since 1980. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Manila.
She is survived by a son, Fred Stutts of Manila, a daughter, Deloris Spikes of Victorville, Calif.; four grandsons, Bobby Spikes, Brian Spikes, James Stutts, Jr., and Danny Stutts; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jim Stutts, in 1997.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jerry Flagg and Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
