Ruby Roberds Denison

Ruby Roberds Denison, 83, of Leachville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Adkins, she was the daughter of the late James and Gracie Osborne Roberds and had been a Leachville resident since 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leachville Church of God.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen Ray of Leachville and Betty and Freddy Cobb of Lake City; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Venette Roberds of Cahokia, Ill.; five grandchildren, David Cobb and his wife, Jodie, of Lake City, Steve Ray and his wife, Angela, of Leachville, Mike Ray of Leachville, Tammy Thomas of Calico Rock, and Terry Johnson and husband, Harry, of Paragould; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Cobb, Sarah Ray, Angi Imler, Charles Baxley, Matt Roberson and his wife, Brandy; one great-great-granddaughter, Amylia Roberson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn Thomas, her grandson, Mark Cobb, two sisters and five brothers.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with David Cobb officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Steve Ray, Make Ray, David Cobb, Freddy Cobb, Charles Thomas and Odus Finley.
