Betty Wilene McCoy, 67, of Monette, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Earl and Minnie Merritt Jones and had been a Monette area resident for the past 36 years. She was a charter member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by Clifton McCoy of the home; two sons, David McCoy of Leachville and Charles McCoy of Bono; four daughters, Helen McCoy, Mary McCoy, Susan McCoy, all of Monette and Teresa Puckett of Leachville; two sisters, Mary Holt of Mountain View and Sarah Phillips of Leachville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
