Jason Daniel Lunsford - Osceola

Jason Daniel Lunsford, 65, of Osceola died Friday, June 17, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Etowah, he was a lifetime resident of Mississippi County. He was a member of Etowah Pentecostal church of God, an auctioneer and a member of the Teamsters Union. He retired from Gordon Truck Line after working as a driver for 20 years, and he was a retired horse trader.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Lunsford of Osceola; a daughter, Kim Lunsford Wilkinson of Caraway; four sons, Timmy green of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Michael "Bubba" Lunsford and Alton Lunsford, both of Caraway, and Carl Barnard of Gideon, Mo.; two sisters, Sarah Kilburn of Elkhart, Ind., and Marie Daniel of Memphis; 27 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tenah Henderson; a son, Sgt. Daron Lunsford; his parents, Oretha Gibson and Gus Lunsford; and a brother.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola with Rev. Huey Meherg officiating. Burial was in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah.
