Aaron Williams - Corning

Aaron Williams, 90, of Corning, formerly of Manila, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at his residence.

Born at Manila, he was a longtime resident of Mississippi County and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Veach Williams of the home; a son, the Rev. Sunny Aaron Williams of Corning; a daughter, Bobbye Jeane Littlejohn Shanks of Magalia, Calif.; a sister, Bea Croom of Houston; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rudolph Williams; his parents, Layfette and Dora Brinkley Williams; a brother and five sisters.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Service of Manila with Rev. William Piercy and Rev. Sunny A. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
