Manila High School Alumni Association recently completed the fund-raising project to place new stage curtains in the high school auditorium. The group raised over $4,000.

"It took us several years, but thanks to the generosity of former Manila students the project was completed," Sue Workman, committee member said.

The alumni association wanted to do something for the school and visited with the administration to see where there was a need.

"The old curtains had been there since the auditorium was built and were in need of replacement," Workman said.

Superintendent Castor opened the auditorium so members of the committee and alumni association in for the annual reunion could stop by and see the new curtains.

"We appreciate the donation," Castor said. "They will be here for students to enjoy for many years to come."
