Ernest O'Neil Horton, 68, of Paragould died Friday, May 27, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born at Evening Shade, he was a retired Army veteran, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Survivors include five sons, David Horton, Phillip Horton and Howard Horton, all of Caraway, and Karl Horton and Charles Horton, both of Paragould; two daughters, Lavanda Sue Martin of Luxora and Paula Hensley of Caraway; three brothers, Hubert Horton of Seattle, Herbert Roland Horton of Cherokee Village and Leon Horton of Powhatan; a sister, Sue Jane Bolt of Strawberry; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eunice Horton, and a brother.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the home of his son, Karl Horton, 11159 Arkansas 412 West, Paragould.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
