Virgil Dee Franklin - Monette

Virgil Dee Franklin, 76, of Monette, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at his residence.

He was a retired furniture manufacturer, of the protestant faith, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was born April 11, 1928, in Tyronza. He had lived in Monette for 10 years, formerly of Memphis, Tenn.

He is survived by a sister, Ruby McKenzie of South Haven, Miss., and a brother, Charles Cobb of Olive Branch, Miss.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Mark Prince and David Thompson served as pallbearers.
