"We got off to a slow start and then played really well," said BIC Head Coach Mike Kinard. "Our press really hurt them (Harrisburg) after the first couple of minutes of the game. Tate (Ashley) Shepard (Jessica) and Bridges (Nan Lee) all played well in the first half. Kasey Garrett did some good things on the press. I thought our press looked better than it has all year long, especially in the first half of the game. We played really well and moved the ball well. We are very happy with the win."
BIC traveled to Armorel Thursday night and rolled to 58-14 victory. BIC (23-5) bolted to a 23-4 first quarter lead on their way to the non-conference victory. Jesssica Shepard led BIC with 13 points, including three treys.
BIC will return to action as the number one seed in this week's 3AA North Senior High District Tournament at the Sharum Gymnasium in Walnut Ridge. BIC will open play Wednesday night at 8:00. The Lady Mustangs automatically receive a bid to the Regional Tournament which they will host the following week at Monette.
