James Kenneth Hedge, 71, of Blytheville, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1933, in Luxora, the son of Leslie and Thelma Davis Hedge, he was a lifelong area resident, a retired farmer, and a member of Pathway Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Hedge of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Dave Crocker of Bradenton, Fla., and Kathy and Windell Allen of Blytheville; three sisters, Novella Carroll of Leachville, Edna Mae Morton and her husband Leonard of Blytheville, and Gladys Morgan and her husband John of Plantersville, Miss.; a grandson, James Edward Crocker of Sarasota, Fla.; a granddaughter, Nessa Bradfield of Blytheville; a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Bradfield of Blytheville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ulala Baggett, and a brother.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Danny Rigney and Rev. Dewayne Culp officiating. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery.
