Donald Ray Daniel - Lake City

Donald Ray Daniel, 61, of Lake City died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Franklin, he lived at Lake City for 18 years and was formerly of Trumann. He was the owner of Don's Dairy Freeze for 30 years and was a former employee of Singer Furniture Co. in Trumann. He was a Mason and Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite and Refuge General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Daniel of the home; a son, Donald DeWayne Daniel of Jonesboro; a daughter, Karen Sue Adams of Lake City; four brothers, A.C. Daniel, J.D. Daniel and Kenneth Daniel, all of Trumann, and J.C. Daniel of Caraway; and five grandchildren, Robert Corbin, Ricky Corbin, Kendra Daniel, Kelley Daniel and Bryanna Jaramillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Clarence and Lora Tadlock Daniel, and a brother.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Refuge General Baptist Church of Lake City with Rev. Larry Ward and Rev. James Carter officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Stan McMillin, Larry Nall, Harvey Thompson, Jake Gilley, Donnie Hutcheson and Jerry Bowman.

The men's Sunday School Class at Refuge General Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
