Steven Dale Sparkman - Jonesboro

Steven Dale Sparkman, 30, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at his home. He was born in Paragould and lived in Lake City before moving to Jonesboro a few months ago. He was a 1992 graduate of Riverside High School, worked as a welder for American Railcar Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Keri Sparkman, of the home; his parents, Jimmy and Joyce Sparkman of Lake City; two brothers, Daniel Sparkman of Lake City and Terry Sparkman of Trumann; and his maternal grandmother, Pearlie Sneed, of Caraway.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Jo Sparkman, his maternal grandfather, Mack Sneed, and his paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and I.V. Sparkman.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Monette Cemetery with Rev. Tom Wellman officiating. Burial was under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial to consider the chapter of one's choice of Alcoholics Anonymous.
