John Henry Meeker, 22, of Bono, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at his residence. Born in Jonesboro, he was a lifetime resident of Bono and employed by Jimmy Woodard Farms. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his parents, Gary and Corrall Meeker of Bono; a brother, Gary Marvin Meeker, Jr., of Bono; a sister, Brianne Meeker of Bono; and his grandparents, Bobby and Sandra Platz of Lake City, Larry and Esther Morrison of Tennessee and Jerry and Lillian Fletcher of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Meeker.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. David Lewis officiated and burial was in Union Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gary Meeker Jr., Mark Nichols, David Moore, Landon Adams, Jimmy Woodard, Randy Black and Jordan Black.
Honorary pallbearers were Brad Woodard, Bill Caldwell, Larry Beaty, Floyd Cabe, Cody Taylor and Roger Nichols.
