Helen Faye Tyer, 84, of West Ridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lepanto United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Evans, of West Ridge; two stepsons, Bill Tyer of Blytheville and David Burks Tyer of Wynne; two grandchildren, Kathy Evans Lewis of Greenville, N.C., and Jerry L. Evans II of West Ridge; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Block Tyer, her parents, two brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Murphy Funeral Home of Lepanto. Tad Rodgers officiated. Burial was private.
