Conward Lee Thacker, 63, of Marmaduke died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical center in Jonesboro. Born at Smitheville, he was retired from Emerson Electric and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cara McCracken Thacker of the home; two sons, Travis Thacker and Donny Thacker, both of Marmaduke; a daughter, Tammy Rouse of Marmaduke; two brothers, Richard Thacker of Leachville and Harold Thacker of Boydsville; seven sisters, Loveda Drury, Florieda Thacker and Shirley Drury, all of Marmaduke, Joyce Malone of Rector, Linda Swenson and Lorieda Carter, both of Florida, and Deloris Brooks of Smithville; and three grandchildren, Kenneth Riley, Justin Thacker and Kaylee Thacker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Grace Tanner Thacker, and four brothers.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Health Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel in Paragould with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Leonard Elkins, Dennis Owens, Billy Buck, Dewayne Cole, Danny Williams and Charles Sims.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Whitlow, Daniel Riley and Harold Thacker.
