Amanda Renee Evans, 25, of West Ridge died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She graduated from East Poinsett County High School and attended Arkansas Northeastern College and Arkansas State University. She was a member of Lepanto Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Zakary A. Evans of Rivervale; her father, Jerry L. Evans of West Ridge; her mother and stepfather, Kathleen May Fires and Roger Fires of Lepanto; a sister, Kathy L. Lewis of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Jerry L. Evans II of West Ridge, and her paternal grandmother, Helen Tyler of West Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Eveline May and her paternal grandfather, Block Tyler.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Lepanto with Jim Dufel officiating. Burial was in Potter Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne "Bubba" Walker, Wes Benton, John Kemp, Bruce Laden, Matthew McClain, Bobby Smith and Shawn Rogers.
