Mallory Ellis chosen UCP Star Child
Mallory Ellis, 8, has been chosen as the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Star Child. Mallory is the daughter of Leeton Ellis and Tina Daniel Ellis of Blytheville. She is also the sister of Toshia, 14, and Starr, 10.
She is also the granddaughter of Gary and Nora Kisner and the niece of Bubba and Liz Hicks and Lonnie and Sara Kisner, all of Manila.
She and her family will be hosting the UCP Telethon on Jan. 23. They would appreciate any donations given to support this cause.
"UCP helps families in many ways," Ms. Ellis said. "They will help purchase wheelchairs, walkers, or even help with surgery expenses that insurance and Medicaid does not cover."
Ms. Ellis is a Manila native. She graduated from Manila High School in 1988. She is presently working as a paraprofessional in the Blytheville School system.
