Eulalia Mayo - Jonesboro

Eulalia Mayo, 83, of Jonesboro, formerly of Piggott, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, in St. Augustine, Fla.

She was born Feb. 2, 1921, in Pollard, the daughter of the late Louie Seth and Lula Mae Hoggard Settlemoir.

She was united in marriage to Lester Mayo on April 29, 1939. They had two children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, on Aug. 26, 1996; and one brother, Shelton Settlemoir.

She is survived by one son, Gary Mayo of St. Augustine, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Clark of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Sherri Lesley of Manila, Lisa Saxon of Mesquite, Texas, Laynie Veitch of Leonard, Mich., and Leslie King of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicholas and Stacy; two sisters, Velma Pritchard and Winifred Brady, both of Piggott.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Danny Self officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Settlemoir, Danny Brown, Nathaniel Lesley, John King, Jim Saxon and Doug Brady.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
