Earnest Evans Jr., 86, of Dell died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in Blytheville. A native of Shaw, Miss., he was a retired farmer, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dell.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Willie Mae Harris of Blytheville and Rosie McClure of Jacksonville; a stepson, Lee Freeman of Elkhart, Ind.; a sister, Lorraine Allen of Chicago; a brother, Norris Evans of Chicago; 14 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Corine and Earnest Evans Sr.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Dell with Bishop James Russell Sims officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Blytheville under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.
