Roger Carnel, 44, of Cardwell, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. He was a truck driver for Emerson Electric and was a veteran having served in the Marines. He was born Aug. 29, 1960 at Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of David P. Carnal and Melva Sue Dodd Carnal. He married Pam Callis on Aug. 3, 1990, at Deering, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Carnal, of Cardwell; his mother, Melva Sue Carnal, of Senath; three sons, Michael P. Carnal of Kennett, Jason D. Carnal of Morton, Ill., and Brandon C. Carnal of Cardwell; a daughter, Jessica L. Carnal of Morton, Ill.; a brother and sister-in-law, David L. and Nora Gail Carnal of Senath; a sister, Sandra Landry of Osceola, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Alice Callis of Kennett.

He was preceded in death by his father, David P. Carnal.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Don Slatton and Rev. Derek Combs officiating. Burial was at McGrew Cemetery in Senath under the direction of McDaniel Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Don Jones, Steve Keating, Josh Jones, Michael P. Carnal, Jeff Carnal, Toby Callahan and Mike Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers were Rick McClish, brad Eubanks, Larry Dodd, Jr. and Gary Johns.
